With over 20 years of Marketing Management and consulting experience, Dan Berne is a recognized expert in developing marketing and brand strategies for high-tech and consumer products and services. His work on managing high-tech brands is included in the textbook “Brand Management” (McGraw-Hill, October, 2009). He works frequently with major design firms to help them align design strategies with marketing goals.

At Hewlett-Packard, Dan directed the brand and product design strategies for HP's Inkjet businesses, including the Deskjet®, Officejet®, and Photosmart® product lines. Dan revamped HP’s low-end printer business model, turning that market segment from negative to positive profit margins, while increasing worldwide market share leadership.

Dan has provided workshops on Customer Experience, Brand Strategy and Innovation to both consumer and technology-based groups throughout the U.S., and in such diverse locations as Singapore, China, India, Ireland, Germany and Brazil.
