Deb Colden is a strategy consultant and executive coach with over 25 years of management and consulting experience. A veteran of high tech and entertainment industries, Deb specializes in helping leaders and teams achieve aggressive goals in less time and with greater energy. Known for her pragmatic and business-focused approach to coaching and meeting design/facilitation, Deb’s clients describe her as "High-Energy, Thought-provoking” and her work as “Actionable and empowering"
A former marketing manager, leader of an internal management consulting practice and now independent consultant, Deb has worked extensively with executives, senior managers, technology and product strategists and designers, R&D, marketing and operational professionals of consumer-focused and business-to-business oriented companies. Her client companies have included Hewlett-Packard, AMD, Gap, Cisco Systems, PolyFuel Inc., Blue Pumpkin Software and Silicon Valley Habitat for Humanity.
Deb holds an MBA with emphasis on corporate finance and organizational behavior from the University of Southern California and BA from Pomona College. She also attended the Advanced Management Program at U.C. Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. She is an accomplished speaker and workshop leader, known for her Creating Breakthroughs series ™ experiential learning workshops which enable professionals from all backgrounds to apply simple effective techniques to strategy, planning and networking for results.
Deb has a passion for creative folks – especially those in business. She is deeply involved in microfinance programs enabling high potential low-income women to become entrepreneurs and achieve financial independence. She is devoted to a wonderful group of colleagues, friends and family and gamely tries to keep up with her comical and artistic teenagers, one who is a wicked cartoonist and the other who wants to be the next Jim Carrey. Life is never boring.
